Blue Ridge Parkway

Blueridge Parkway is a scenic highway that winds along the mountain ridges from Tennessee to Virginia and passes through Blowing Rock here in Western North Carolina.

The Blowing Rock is a huge cliff 4,000 feet above sea level that drops off into John's River Gorge. The shape of the cliffs causes air to blow upwards in currents strong enough to carry light objects.
