Andrew McKinney

Project Manager of Small Projects

Andrew McKinney

Andrew grew up in central North Carolina. He came to App State as a student in fall 2013, and when he saw the mountains and community of Boone, he couldn’t leave. He graduated in May 2017 with a Bachelors of Science in Sustainable Building Systems and considers himself one of the lucky few that get to stay in this beautiful area.

In August 2018, he married his lovely wife Jewel, and together they enjoy all kinds of adventures from mountain biking, to snowboarding, or volunteering for the youth group at their church.

Along with his degree, Andrew gained many things from his college experience. Being in the mountains and among a quality community ingrained in him a love for outdoor adventure and for Jesus. As he grew as a follower of Jesus and as a student, he recognized that he valued relationships, responsibility, and respect.

These values led Andrew to 4 Forty Four, and as a result, he joined the team in August 2017. He is excited to continue to apply the knowledge gained from college through construction work and for opportunities to increase innovation in the construction industry. He also has a special interest in practically serving the needs of the community, and this is what leads him to pursue our Small Projects Initiative.
