Aviator’s Legacy

This one‑of‑a‑kind mountain home is taking custom home building to new heights. Aviator’s legacy was designed for aviators who wanted a heritage retreat reflecting both their passion for flight and deep respect for the High Country. Inspired by the elegant curve of an aircraft propeller, the architecture brings aerodynamic form into a rugged mountain setting to create a home that feels like it is, was, and will-be a part of the mountains for years to come.

Rather than completely clearing the site for the home’s construction, this home was designed to be holistically integrated into the natural terrain. Native trees, vegetation, and massive rock formations were preserved and incorporated directly into the layout. This approach not only protects the mountain ecosystem but also gives the home an organic, grounded presence that cannot be easily replicated. Our clients share our devotion to the natural world, and one of their greatest wishes was that their grandchildren “would be able to run around outside, barefoot.”

Inside, expansive windows frame panoramic High Country views, allowing the landscape to become part of the living experience. Natural materials and aviation‑inspired details create a warm, modern environment that honors the clients’ lifestyle and vision. Many of the finished elements were brought in from around the world including light fixtures from Mexico, Australia, and Italy as well as tile from California.

This new construction home seamlessly blends innovative design and the spirit of aviation, resulting in a legacy home that stands as a testament to craftsmanship and the beauty of living in the mountains.
