Ryan grew up in Winston-Salem and moved to Boone in 2005 to attend Appalachian State University. As a lover of the outdoors- hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and camping- App was a natural choice. Ryan studied hard and spent his college years serving the community, enjoying the outdoors, and sharing the love of Jesus with those he met as an out flowing of his personal relationship with Christ. Ryan graduated in 2009 with his Bachelor’s degree in Building Science with a concentration in Construction Management and a minor in Business, and met his wife, Mandy, in Mexico the same year. Just after graduating, he spent a year in South Sudan with Samaritan’s Purse, heading up teams of Americans and Sudanese nationals to help reconstruct 64 churches destroyed by the county’s civil war. Ryan and Mandy were married in 2011, and are happy to be starting their family in Boone. They have two adorable little boys.
Ryan has always had a passion for the more personal side of building. He believes any project, large or small, is an opportunity to know someone better and serve them with excellence, and his love of building comes from a desire to help people realize and achieve their dreams. Some of Ryan’s strengths are his eye for detail, project design, logistics, and the priority he puts on relationships at every level as the key to success.
