Foggy Rock Restaurant Renovation

Foggy Rock is a local, family owned restaurant, serving Blowing Rock locals and visitors alike. When owners Burt & Yvonne approached us about renovating their outdoor seating, we were thrilled to collaborate with them. Less than half a mile from our office on Sunset Drive, our team has enjoyed many meals inside this special restaurant and we were honored to partner with the Foggy Rock family during their renovation.

With the goal of increasing available seating, our craftsman constructed an outdoor patio with a custom stonework and fireplace, while also reworking the restaurant entryway to optimize flow. With full occupancy, the outdoor seating area can now hold upwards of 40-50 additional guests.

Previously a sloped hill, a retaining wall was built out of dry-stacked boulders to level the ground for the patio.One of our favorite features is the custom full stone fireplace with gas log insert and built-in planter beds. It also features a framed and lighted custom iron sign by local artist, Jimmy Clemmons.

A new landscaping island was added at the main entrance for better traffic flow along with flagstone sidewalk and lighting.

A deck and timber frame were added to the front of the building, alongside new doors.

We are thrilled for the Foggy Rock team and invite everyone in our community to visit this special restaurant soon for fantastic food, service, and atmosphere.

During Covid,  we decided that we wanted to add a Patio onto Foggy Rock Eatery. It was essential with covid that we add more outside seating. We knew immediately who we wanted to do the work. 4 Forty Four!!!  We are huge fans of Booneshine Brewery and loved the work that 4 Forty four did on that project. We didn't even contact anyone else. Preston and Cody were assigned as our team project leaders and they were great. They were easy to work with and very understanding and accommodating to our changes along the way.
