Dreams of a forever home for family entertaining and making memories was at the heart of this new construction for a local family and dear clients. The home needed to be both inviting and comfortable for family and guests, but also functional for everyday use with two growing daughters.
The design of the kitchen was especially important to these clients. Needing to make sense for not only how they live their everyday lives but also incorporating how they like to entertain, a bright, open space with classic and durable design features was achieved. The flow of the kitchen needed to be comprehensively designed with the outdoors in mind. The pass-through window and sliding doors meant an easy transition to living and entertaining outside. Our clients envisioned spending a lot of time outside throughout the year, and the exterior fireplace allows them warmth and ambiance for every season.
One of the most unique features of the home that the clients requested is the snug room. This small sitting room that can be closed off from the main living area needed to be practical and provide a relaxation space for family and friends, as it’s intended for puzzles, reading, or watching tv.
Creating intentional spaces in this home is also evident in the daughters' rooms. Each had the opportunity to work closely with our designer to curate colors and interiors that spoke to them individually. It’s easy to feel the creativity and personality reflected in each room when you enter. The timeless designs chosen will certainly grow along with them.
